Preschool Form
Our Mother of Consolation admits students of any race,
color, national and ethnic origins to all rights, privileges, programs and
activities generally accorded or made available to students at our school.
Similar policies apply to school staff. Our school does not discriminate on
basis of race, color, national and ethnic origins in the administration of
its educational policies, its admission policies or in any school administered
program.
Admission is based on the following criteria:
- That the Catholic parent(s) desire to raise their children in the Catholic
faith;
- That the parents agree to support the organization which assists the
school, namely the Home & School Association and the volunteer program;
- That parents agree to cooperate with and uphold the philosophy, rules
and regulations of the school;
- The parents of non-Catholic children permit their children to study the
Catholic faith and participate in all liturgical programs according to the
school schedule;
- That children of parishioners will be given first preference if a waiting
list is necessary at any grade level.
Age Regulation
Pupils will be admitted to Kindergarten if they are five years old by September
1 and to Grade 1 if they are six by September 1.
Official Documents Required:
- Birth Certificate or Passport;
- Certificate of Baptism if not baptized at Our Mother of Consolation;
- Official record of Immunizations and documented proof of physical examination
must be received by August 1 prior to admission;
- Social Security Number or appropriate visa;
- Letter of permission to register and statement of active participation
from your Pastor if you are not Catholic and not a member of Our Mother
of Consolation Parish;
- Copies of report cards and standardized tests for Admission beyond Grade
1.
N.B. Registration as parishioner of Our Mother of Consolation Parish presupposes
active church attendance and regular financial support of the Parish
Acceptance
All students are admitted to Our Mother of Consolation School based upon
acceptance of our philosophy and procedures and are on a one-year probationary
period for academics and behavior.
